Writer's picture: John Hemming-ClarkJohn Hemming-Clark

England is the 2nd most densely populated country in the world when measured by area. That is to say, there is only one country that has a bigger area AND is more densely populated. 1st = Bangladesh. 55.6m sq miles. 3,031 population per sq mile.

2nd = England. 50.3m sq miles. 1,111 population per sq mile.

Countries with a high population generally have relatively more space and vice versa. China has a population of 1.4b but its population density is 377 per sq mile. India. Population 1.3b, Density 1,073. USA. Population 329m, Density 87. Germany. Population 83.1m. Density 603. France. Population 67m. Density 319. Italy. Population 60.2m. Density 518. Spain. 46.9m. Density 241.

Just saying.
